I-Con Aftermath

I-Con was a blast... and I didn't do nearly as much as I've done in years past. I must be getting old or something ;)
As I mentioned before, I took 2nd place honors (overall) at the art show. Not bad for a debut performance at I-Con. I'll be back next year with some new stuff (hopefully... but in a year's time, I should have new stuff... or else I need to hang up my virtual camera and go retire someplace), as well as some prints for the print shop. I opted out this year, because a) I wasn't sure if there was going to be enough interest and b) I just didn't have the time/funds to get prints done beforehand this time 'round. I did have prices on the originals, but no buyers... which is fine by me; I wasn't expecting to sell anything anyhow, so the pricing was a last minute decision.
The folks from I-Con are in the process of putting together a photo gallery of the con... who knows? Maybe they have some art show shots. The site is here: http://www.iconsf.org/photo_index.php
And I managed to run into an old coworker of mine there as well (who also happens to work in the 3D medium as well... and had some awesome renders up). Roy and I didn't work for too long together, and he didn't remember me (which is fine... I happened to remember him because he was a trainer at the time)... but we chatted for a bit, comparing applications of choice among other things. I especially enjoyed his new stuff, which was a twist on some classic fairy tales (I always love when folks reinterpret the classics)... you can check out some of that stuff, as well as other art here: http://www.chesspiecesart.com/

Oh, and the main webpage is kinda fixed again... or at least it's not an aborted blog any more. When I get a moment at home, I'll finish it up, but for now, there's at least something there. I'll worry about the rest later.
